We are thrilled to announce a groundbreaking partnership between MATA and SR Technics Malta, paving the way for unparalleled opportunities in the aviation industry. This collaboration aims to redefine the trajectory of aspiring aviation professionals by providing a comprehensive On-the-Job Training (OJT) program.

About the Partnership: MATA and SR Technics Malta have officially joined forces to elevate the skills and expertise of MATA apprentices. This partnership not only signifies a commitment to excellence and innovation but also opens doors for potential permanent employment opportunities within the dynamic and competitive field of aviation.

Program Overview

At MATA, we understand the importance of cultivating talent in the aviation industry. Our collaboration with SR Technics aims to create a pathway for B1 EASA students in South Africa to join SR Technics Malta for practical training and potential permanent employment.

Application and Assessment Process

MATA meticulously assesses students during the initial intake, evaluating both intent and aptitude. A second assessment/interview is conducted during the Theory Training, ensuring the final selection of students aligns with the standards set by SR Technics.

Training and Practical Experience

MATA takes pride in training A and B1 students in South Africa, to supply students to SR Technics Malta for B1 Practical Training. During this phase, SR Technics Assessors will oversee students’ practical training, while MATA will reciprocally oversee SR Technics Practical Assessors.

Remuneration and Benefits: SR Technics is committed to supporting apprentices during their journey:

  • Travel Allowance: Students receive a 1000 Euro travel allowance for their initial travel.
  • Financial Support: Apprentices are entitled to a total remuneration of 7400 Euros for the entire 8-month program.
  • Level 2 Type Training: SR Technics provides Level 2 Type training on Airbus during the practical training period, enhancing the skill set of our apprentices. This training is offered under a Training Bond, ensuring a comprehensive and well-rounded educational experience.

Path to Permanent Employment

Upon successful completion of the 8-month On-the-Job Training (OJT), apprentices stand a chance for permanent employment with SR Technics. Additionally, selected candidates will have the opportunity to undergo a paid Airbus Type training course, further enhancing their expertise in the field.

  1. Qualification Process: Embark on a journey that could shape your aviation career in ways you’ve only dreamed of. To qualify for this exclusive program, here’s what you need to do:
  2. Online Application: Begin your journey by submitting an online application.
  3. Recruitment Specialist Interview: Shortlisted candidates will undergo an interview with a recruitment specialist.
  4. Criminal Background Check: A mandatory criminal background check needs to be submitted from your side.
  5. Training Fee Payment: Successful candidates will be required to pay for their first-year training.
  6. SR Technics Interview: Following successful initial stages, candidates will be interviewed by SR Technics.
  7. Visa Application Process: Once selected, SR Technics will initiate the visa application process.
  8. Travel Grant: SR Technics values your commitment! Receive 1000 Euro for traveling to Malta.
  9. On-the-Job Training: Immerse yourself in 8 months of hands-on experience at SR Technics in Malta.
  10. Final Interview: Cap off your training with a final interview at SR Technics.
  11. Permanent Employment Offer: Successful candidates will be offered a permanent contract, along with 1 year of free accommodation and Level 2 Airbus Type Training paid for by the company.
