This course will to give the operator and/or maintenance organisation an overview of the constituent parts of Material Selection: Typical alloys utiulized within Aviation and their susceptibility to Corrosion, Manufacturing Methods: Common manufacturing methodologies and their influences on Corrosion Resistance,Measuring of Corrosion: Required minima’s against OEM Spesifications,Measuring Options: Non-destructive testing, manual, laser and sonar, Rectification methods: Various acceptable and prescribed methods to blend, passivate and re-coat, PRACTICAL DEMONSTRATION: Corrosion damage repair scheme demonstrated by a qualified aircraft sheet metal worker/aircraft painter.
